It has been a very long time since our last feature car, so we have a special one to kick things off again. This is long time MCF supporter, Lindsay aka Project HT and his street driven 1970 HT Holden.
Lindsay picked up his HT a little over 9 years ago for $150 with the dream of building himself a tough reliable streeter with a blown big block crammed under the hood Fast forward through 9 years of hard work and all his dreams have come true.
This is a true backyard built car, all work was completed in Lindsay’s one car garage, with the only exception being the application of the paint. All panel work, mini tubs and interior has been completed in his garage.

Power comes from a big block chev in the form of an LS7 crate motor with stock internals, GM supercharger running 5psi boost and a pair of 825 cfm Demon carbs . All this adds upto an estimated 500hp at the flywheel and a sweet blower whine.
A fully manualised T400 transmission transmits the power to the 9″ and 35 spline Moser axles. Mini tubs were added, to fit the 19″ by 10″ Intro Penteia’s and give the HT a tougher stance.
This is one seriously stout streeter and Lindsay, Luke and everyone else who helped with the build should be given a pat on the back for turning out such a tough streeter.
