Regaurding the sump. How much space is between the back of the motor and the crossmember? ie how much room for the belly of the sump? I found these funny looking sumps which have a skinny but deep belly. Dont know if it solves your prob or not.

i wouldnt run the pick up towards the frount , because the oil will always run back under exceleration , i know its only a cruiser ,

hmm i don't think that would work. Just under the oil pump is the powersteer rack.

baffles would help to stop that wouldn't they? the thing is the rear will be quite small and probably barely hold 1.5litres of oil

How did you go with the exhaust.

Pickup at the front should prove no worry. Ford have been doing for yonks

Exhaust is going to be a 2.5" collector pipe - log style manifold. We figure that it should look pretty neat and is cheap so if it goes balls up we're not out of pocket alot of $.

Hopefully we'll have that done this week. We're currently working on the powersteering (commo rack).

Ive been looking over your conversion, and it reminds me of a 350 Chev Conversion my mate put in his Silver Rolls, Ill try and source more information for you.

Alrighty,

I got intouch, he is going to try and dig up more info for me,

But he says he used a modified Dodge 440 Pickup and an LS1 Sump with a Sandwhich plate to a Mellings Oil Pump.

Swinging OIl Pickup, Mounted to the bottom of a sump and you run One or Two Braided Lines to the Oilpump, they use these for large stroker setups in the dodges

$70 USD
