besides a couple of toranas and the odd old monaro is there actually anything worth seeing

Seriously I hope your swapmeet is better than the Chrysler one last weekend - these used to be a great way to pick parts on the cheap. Now we just the same old geezers with the same old kitchen taps, useless crap and a couple of parts and they think they can charge e-bay prices. Seems the boom in 70's muscle car prices means these guys think they can cash in as well. Us Valiant owners have gotta be some of the biggest tight ****s when it comes to spending money so we end up leaving in disgust.

I agree swapmeets have gone downhill but why would you wanna get out of bed at the crack of dawn to try to sell your parts to a few hundred people when you can stay at home get on ebay and be able to sell to the whole nation. As for the ebay prices the prices are so high because of supply and demand.Everyone is bidding higher cause thats what they are prepared to pay.I dont like it either but thats the way it is unfortunatally

Yeh i agree with you YLD305.

I think for most of the old guys its more social than a way to sell anything.

Yep - ebay has changed everything - the best way still seems to be some of the Brand specific forums on the web where owners will try to help each other out - or at least in the Vals anyway.
