I just went down for the day yesterday. Here's a few pics on my site - Summernats 21 Photos

It was pretty good. Only thing that ****ed me off was alot of deros were hassling my gf and as usualy the prize money for the burnout masters went to chick henry's personal mate who happened to do the worst burnout of the lot

Its a shame about your girlfriend, what is it about summernats that men think they have the right to start harassing girls and even groping them through the windows of cars cruising its a friggin joke, i hope your girlfriend is ok

but then you have the pigs there with their boobs hanging out that make some men think all women their are like that

back home after a long sunburnt weekend at nats. Good to meet you jeremy, phil and stick!

Was thinking on the way home, why haven't they created an area for cars to do skids through whilst cruising at summernats?

ie 50 or so metres of road blocked off from spectators where entrants can do a dirty big skid.

yeh i know what you are saying about the burnouts but the masters comp was a hard one because the best cars blew up early so it left no option for the judges but to award the win to a car that no one expected to win but he was there & come out on top ..i was more amazed to see 2 cars that didnt even qualify (1 didnt even turn up ) & (the other didnt even turn the tyres or couldnt due to mech probs) for the normal burnout comp & then there in the finals but then to get second & third well thats just not fair to the entrants that were there & earnt there spot fairly (not on a silver plated exception)..oh yeah & that pair in case you are wondering just happen to be (gary myers no show) & (peter grey mech probs) although im sure there is no favourtism because even gary myers got his head smacked in by security for driving eratical so im sure there is a good reason lol..

hey robyn its a shame you werent there.. because i have got to say glen done the skid of his burnout career in fridays qualifying by far the number 1 qualifier with out a doubt in my eyes & many many others but very unfortunate in the finals but maybe if he had off been lucky enough to not have to qualify like others were given a free ride . it would have been a very different outcome for him but win or lose he should be proud off his killer skid because as a mate & promoter of the tuffest burnout comp around i was happy & proud for his efforts..congratulations with the car glen & robyn you have got it sorted & are on track with it & you went about it the way it should be done the right way qualify skid & then a final skid so congrats to you mate you deserved a exceptional weekend for your efforts ...cheers nudge & rosie....

Yeh SMOKEMS burnout on friday was insane! By far the strongest sounding car all day.

Yeh the bush pigs flashing their nasty ass boobs don't help. My gf was fine, but I always get worried that something f*cked up is going to happen to her if we stay back too late.

That's not the first time that bloke in the impala has "won" the masters. I've got a DVD from a few years back where they gave it to him and he had to hit reverse at one point because he boxed himself in - and i don't mean some crazy slam it in reverse @ 8 grand ****, I mean a carpark style 3 pointer and he still managed to beat all the big names. I feel sorry for the people who take burnout comps seriously and pump 20 grand into their car each year to stay on top and get ripped off by bias judge. I saw this happen at a burnout comp at WSID a few years back too. All the big name cars were there (RHYNOS, 14MILE, DMT351 etc). Who won the $1,500? A stock 5L commodore, why? Because he was the boyfriend of the bird who was the comintator and I know that for a fact.

summernats 21 totally different from last years nats. ??? Too many security guards acting like god??? I was unfortunate enough to have only cruised my heapa 1 lap before the motor decided it was enough. But have too say I did catch up with plenty of rev heads down there which was good and still got a few rides with mates in there cars around the event and still had a good time. Sorry I didnt catch up with ya nudge. And gary myers and his little incident anyone no what really happened there??

I didn't see gary giving it a stab on the way to the pad, but i did see 3 security guards punching him through the window. The first one seemed to throw a good few punches before the other 2 started throwing punches over his shoulder.

Also, if you ask me security should try to difuse a situation rather than antagonise one. The security guards in this case seemed to follow the 'shoot first asked questions later' motto. Seemed to be a case of a couple of hot headed security guards making the rest look bad.

There was one guard (not the only one just one that is worth a mention) there who had me in hysterics, he did a really really good job of keeping the crowd/drivers etc in check.

I've got a pic of him that will explain it all... will try to find it and post it a little later
