so i just bought a lj 2 door torana and it needs alot of work. i am planning to build a tough street car with a blown 383 stroker sbc motor ive had for a few years now. I have a t400 box lined up and a shortened 9" that will go under the rear along with mini tubs and a cage. I want to 4 link the rear and run disk brakes all round.
My question is... what chassis kit do i need for nsw rego? if so... what is the best? should i build my own from scratch? if i decide to put a bbc in does it change much besides the obvious? do i need a much different chassis kit or what? still legal? wat brakes anyone reccommend? etc? haha any info will be greatly helpful and appreciated and i hope to one day get her finished and run some pretty wuick times down the strip. thanks |

I'd be trying to find an engineer thats up with the new vehicle certifing scheme asap before doing anything as the rules could seriously affect your chances and i doubt you would have any chance with a big block

i work at a shop that does engineers certificates and a 304 in a early block is all good but a chev and a blower is a no go. Just be careful with wheel sizes with the tubs as its all comes down to the wheel track. id speak to a engineers before you get out the grinder as they all say different stuff..
