Must be some thing wrong with your anthony, i have the same converter 4200 nos dominator and i can stall mine up to 3500 3800rpm on the street before it starts to turn the tyres. Not saying that dominators are good just mine works ok

I've got a 3000 dominator in the prem, cruises nice about 2200 with 2.75's in the diff. If I hit it, at 3000 the tyres are trying to grip with not much success

It should be interesting with 4.11s in it

Thanks Heaps for the replies guys!

I've got an external oil cooler.. it's a Serck type. I'm thinking about getting a larger one though!

I've heard lots of good things about TCE convertors, I belive that Phill was the bloke to originally started dominator and who now owns/runs TCE.

I was told that the convertor would drive nicely when treated gently, On the brakes ( foot brakes) would slip up to around 3200 RPM and if it were effectively trans braked ( I dont have a trans brake), it would flash right up to the 3800 speed.

So you guys reckon just go for it, and stick in a big cooler and she'll be right!?

I appreciate your comments, it's not something i want to buy twice (for a change hehehe!)

Im with Switched On and TuffXR on this one. TCE make great convertors and id also recommend them. Ive cruised in mine with a 8 inch 5500rpm convertor and had no issues with heat as long as the cooler is getting good airflow it should be sweet.

Id prefer to mave to much stall speed than not enough. Your car will also go faster. Should take a big chunk out of your 60ft with the correct convertor.

Many thanks wagone!

I think i'll stick with what TCE and my engine builder says!

Also going to upgrade the cooler to one of the B&M style ones with a 9-1/2" fan, and stick it infront of teh radiator... I dont think the cooling of the engine will be harmed too much with the PWR alloy and AU thermos i've already got!

Cheers!
