I guess even a box on wheels goes fast when u chuck some porshe running gear at it.
Seen another people mover with a formula 1 motor in it, Sounded so wrong in the best way.

yeah can throw anything in just about anything now days but like aj was pointing out on msn it would probably be a bit top heavy

But this is just brilliant: A Swiss 1950s Type 2 VW split-screen van widened about 4 inches, with T25 Chassis, carbon roof and tuned Porsche 993 Turbo engine. Clips of it pwning lesser cars and a link to pictures of it being built here:
