heh - maybe silly to sell a car with no lock nuts but what about the dumbass who left a 300k+ car out on the street :uglystupid2:

Be interesting to find out what happened to the wheels - not like you could use them for much else or that they wouldn't be spotted relatively easily...

Theft sees F1 boss with no wheels
Bernie Ecclestone
Bernie Ecclestone's car was left stranded
Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone may have difficulty getting anywhere in a hurry after the wheels of his Mercedes were stolen at his London home.

The 74-year-old millionaire, who recently lost control of F1 racing to a group of banks, said the wheels were taken at around 0445 on Saturday.

He said the thieves were captured on film but he was not planning to report the matter to the police.

The wheels of another Mercedes he owned were stolen in 2003.

New model

His wife Slavica recently had a £650,000 diamond ring snatched.

"We've got the thieves on camera, but I'm not hopeful I'll get the wheels back," Mr Ecclestone said.

The thieves had jacked up the £70,000 car outside his house in Chelsea, West London, before taking the wheels.

Mr Ecclestone's Mercedes CLS-55 AMG model was reportedly the first to arrive in Britain after it was launched this month.

The F1 chief was last week forced to give up control of the sport's commercial rights after banks demanded that their 75% stake in F1 holding company, Slec, be translated into influence over the sport.
