AJ's right still looking into some axles i have had a heap of quotes any where from 1100 to 2500. so i am a little confussed

I think i will look into some commo axles and get them nitrated like switched on suggested. But i think they might be to short need to pull mine apart to work it out

At the same time i will plate the floor and do the control arms as chris (ima400) suggested

Pretty much after i broke the axle i pushed it into the garage and have not looked at it since. had the big time with it

Ok i have been getting the cash together to do the diff, I have had heaps of quotes now and wow there is some difference of opinion's out there

1 = 31 Spline Billets, Romac full spool, New bearings $1860

2 = 31 spline (nodular iron) , yum char full spool, Bearings $1400

3 = 31 spline (nodular iron) romac full spool, bearings (can;t quote on the phone as he want to measure the axles said ruff around 1400ish depending if the axles are standard length) From Manuel Trans Factory Broadmeadow. These guys reckon no need to go billets they can still break ??? WTF

So i am still a little confussed, couple more weeks and i will make my decision as then i should have all the cash

It a nine inch, but i think when the guys that built it the first time (total bodge bastards) they put in a one tonner salisbury axle in it.

I snapped an axle i could just out one back in it and be done with it but i thought whilst it is out do it properly

i also have another set of extractors for it pic's below. A set of 1 7/8'' mandrel bent pipes for $60 in good nick just a little surface rust so i took them to a sandblaster got them cleaned for $50 well worth it came back looking brand new.

Old pipes

New Pipes

i painted them black, this was just before i painted them
