Thats interesting, seems like a cost effective way to make these older motors happier on unleaded.
HIJACK WARNING! I'm looking to run a fuel catalyst, is this something you looked into Nath?

Well, After a bit of research, the 904 Torqeuflite has slightly different Ratios, Could someone explain how these could affect driving with a 3.45:1 Rear end?

BW35 Ratios

1 2.39:1
2 1.45:1
3 1.00:1
R 2.09:1

TF904

1 2.45:1
2 1.45:1
3 1.00:1
R 2.20:1

Nathan,
Anthony is right the 904 has slightly better first gear acceleration (slightly) but the big difference your gonna feel (ignoring the engine mods) is the different diff ratio - moving from 3.23 to 3.45 is going to give a lot more urge - I mean a lot.

You sure its 3.45 by the way - standard BW diff ratio lower than 3.23 was the 3.55?

Hope you saving up for the petrol mate - better breathing engine - bigger carb, lower diff all equal more fun but also more fuel.

Be nice to her when you get her done and try to learn about some throttle control through that big size 15 of yours - she's going to be fun but you are going to be temptedto push real hard!

Its a VL Turbo Crown and Pinion, 3.45 is stamped on the side :)

The car has a 2.92 in the rear at the moment so yes...VERY Big Difference hopefully, with the new 6300RPM Redline, the engine should be interesting

Oh okay that would explain the 3.45 - ahhhh - you've the limo diff at the moment - this is gonna be a heap different. Make sure the 6300 pill is the in the 6AL before you take her out the first time - she will rev.
