The radiator took a bit of convincing because its a 3 core out of a later model but its in there now and that’s the main thing. Oil cooler is from the wreckers taken from a pajero I believe. Got a twin electric fan set up from an AU, I’ve cut the shroud down a bit to get it in. In the long run I'll probably upgrade the radiator but it hopefully should do the trick for now
The hard lines are in place for the front of the car, (fuel and brakes) for the EFI setup I used the stock fuel line as a return and installed a second 5/8 line for the feed. I’m using the stock tank and pickup, then a bosch high volume low pressure pump feeding into a surge tank. From there it heads through an 800hp bosch motorsport pump (overkill) up to the engine, there’s also a malpassi reg in the loop. I’ve been told I should run a Doring fuel catalyst to save the valve seats. Does anyone else use a fuel catalyst of any kind? Comments would be most welcome.
Here’s a pic of the door cards, I was going to re-cover the originals but because they are in such good nick I ended up using them as a template to make new ones and I'll sell the originals when I get a chance.
wow - i'm amazed at how much work you have done on the VF
loving the paint. How far off is this project from completion?
Still a couple of months I think, by the time the wireing is done and interior is all back in place. There's not much big stuff left to go now but all those unimportant things like work and family get in the way. lol
Lincon, This should be a nice sweet ride, Im am interested to see what the engine puts out, A mates 408 Stroker made an Easy 504HP On its First Run In Session with Standard Exhaust Manifold and a 450 DP

Yeah I'm really interested to see what it'll produce as well, I used to think about it more but now days I just think about the idea of it moving under its own steam.
Given what I read with the recent engine build off in "mopar muscle magazine" I think that the power your freinds motor is making will be close to what mine will be.
I'll loose a bit of power off the top with EFI but hopefully the broader power band will make up for it. Well that was the plan anyway.

well definitely looking forward to the rest of your build mate. Tell famil and work you have more important things to do
BigRed asked if I was going to lower the car so I figured I’d do a proper post about the lowering job I did. Not that it’s some amazing workmanship or creativity but I figured I’d share my process.
On the front I’ve got CRS 2 inch drop spindles, these aren’t really necessary to drop a car with torsion bar suspension but since this car is a street car I figured some degree of suspension travel isn’t a bad thing. The other mods to the front suspension include urethane bushings, tubular uppers and radius rods (the tubular radius rods also eliminate perishable bushings by using aluminium) and a sway bar. This model never had a factory sway bar so I swapped in later model LCA’s with sway bar tabs and boxing.
The rear drop was achieved by performing a shackle flip, this is a fairly common mod and easy to perform. I found the how to on a Chrysler forum and it took hardly any time at all to do on my own. As you can see from the pic with the shackle flipped and the style of wheel well on the car the stance works really well. I have heard comments about this mod affecting the pinion angle, if this is an issue I’ll fix it with an angled shim.
The reason I went down this road was because with the projected power of the engine I knew that lowering blocks were kinda out of the question. This has been confirmed by the blocks I’ve put in my gutless hilux, a car making any kind of power would be shocking with lowing blocks.
The other option would have been to get my leaves re-set but this costs money and to do this the car needed to be moving, besides all my lowering job cost was a bit of time and maintains the stock spring rate.
Nothing pic worthy to report, made my rear brake lines. (TIP: Do these with the diff out of the car, bet its easier than how I did it) I've been distracted of late doing a tidy up on my lux.
