This week I got rid of my old Nissan Sonny Coupe, and one of the Landcruisers HJ60
My back still hurts like a Mother******, but I need a car to work on, so I bought this Volvo 240 GL from 1991 with 300.000+ km on it.
The car was bought by a local family, as a gift to their 18year old son. The fixed it up nicely with new brakes, radiator and clutch - but the son didnt want it

-- teenagers...
I ended up paying 6000,- dkr, around ~1300,- aussie dollars
Its a 2,3l Injection 4 cyl engine, and it can handle 400hp with the stock internals. but I'm not going that far.
I'm aiming at around 250bhp with a Holset HE300 turbo, Wolf3D engine management and a Intercooler from the old Saab project i still have some parts from.
I dont know if you have the same rules in Australia, but here Denmark the car have to pass inspection every 2 years. This one just passed the test, so I can rebuild and drive fro 2 years with no worries, as long as I don't crash it :)
I ordered a set of The KYB Gas-a-Just shocks already
But Im still working on what springs I should get.
The tires will be
Mickey Thompson, since we just started to sell those out of my little 4x4 shop
I'm gonna replace the current Gearbox, because the ration is to tall. I will probably find a old BMW box, because that fits almost right over, So it wont be hard to find a clutch that fits.
Last thing will be a LSD, but I'm gonna start with the
Aussielocker difflocker, like we have in the other Volvo. It should fit, because both are a copy of the Dana44 axle. But I would like to end up with a 60-70% LSD for the comfort
I know you guys usually use v8, but with our gasprices, its not going to happen, when the cars will be used as much as this.
