Default suggestion

OK since we've now established its a wagon IMO don't bother trying for performance because the money vs results factors don't add up.

That means its all about style, here's what I would suggest:
Air bag suspension because it looks and rides great and gives you an adjustable set up that is still practical as a daily driver.
Rims, up to taste and this is one the a tyre place can help you with 150spokes like the lowrider camry in the pic I posted earlier could be cool but any big rim can work if it flows with the rest of the car.
Paint, because your car is white I would try a 2 tone paint scheme, maybe white up top with a nice bright blue on the bottom but basically anything along those lines would work, I've seen a green and white wagon look really good as well. By using the white in your color scheme you can avoid having to paint all the door jams and the engin bay.
lastly stereo: Its a wagon, that means they sound great! I've owned a few. Improve the sound deadening and get some bass in there. There's tones of stuff on the net about how to fiberglass speaker bins in cars and I'm sure a local boat builder could help you get started.

Hope this helps. I've chucked a couple of pics do demostrate what I mean.
