HERE IS MY NEW TOY
ENGINE:304 STROKED TO 355, CHEV PISTONS AND CRANK, CRANE CC288 CAM, VN HEADS PORTED AND FLOWED, MANLEY STEEL RETAINERS, MANLEY DOUBLE VALVE SPRINGS, CROWER MACHINED VALVE LOCKS, MANLEY VITON STEM SEALS, YELLA TERRA PLATNUIM ROLLER ROCKERS, ROLLMASTER DOUBLE ROW TIMING GEAR SET, TORQUE POWER SINGLE PLANE MANIFOLD WITH 750DP AND 2" SPACER, CRANE HI-6 IGNITION AND LX-92 COIL, HOLLEY BLUE FUEL PUMP WITH 1/2" LINES, CUSTOM CATCH CAN, 11:1 COMP
GEARBOX: STAGE 2 T400 WITH 4,500 STALL, B&M QUICKSILVER SHIFTER
DIFF: 3;55 romax full spool for the pad and 3'9's minispool for the strip
INTERIOR: SV500 front/rear seats, calais interior, sunroof, all power options, CUSTOM AUTOMETER DASH
BODY: full vk grp 3 kit, fresh paint, smoothed bay with no wiring
WHEELS: 19" LENSOS AND 19" CV8-R

looking good mate - anyidea of what sort of power it's putting out?? what are the initial plans for it?

hey mate once the motor sorted if i got the funds i will do the box straight up with a b&M shifter, shift kit and a stally the taillights will be changed in the next few weeks and the vk garnish panel put in also going to change the side mirrors to vk as well

nice - i reckon taillights and the mirrors will finish it off nicely

hopefully the engine dramas are only minor - can't wait to see this thing on the track! was it chirping on changes when you first drove it? pull harder than your vt??

yee haa the torque converter has come loose so its nothing to do with the bottom end you know how much happier i am

oh yer mate its all systems go so hopefully it will be done and passed in time i just have to do a few things for it to pass blueslip like charcol canister, put the rest of the exhaust on as it dumps at the diff but i have the rest its been made to bolt on bolt off

heh - charcoal canister, reminds me of some advice i was given a few years back - 'take off the charcoal canister, walk outside your shed and throw thebastard as far away as possible'

pollution control crap

must sound awesome dumping at the diff and will sound even better at full noise dumping at the diff too - almost worth taking the week off work to get it going

yer i know what you mean about the cannister it will be coming off straight after blue slip, i hope im not working this week but the people around here are so hard to get motivated to do something the same day my mechanic is a good mate awsome good guy that knows what he is doing but he is very slow not at doing it but slow at actually booking it in sometimes its a bummer he is a mate cause he puts me off all the time to do other work, what do you think about the tail lights clear or black
