yea u have seen it!! the plates are WOT-179 OR WOT-173 or something like that!! im pretty sure thats who built his motor not 100% though!!

Now if you were in Vic we use Speed Works 03 98760600 he's the best that i have found & i have used afew he's no bull!!!!

Ok Now I know C&B they did my mates cortina as well. I dont know the guys there but have been told they build alright motors. Well your car goes like a bat out of hell and so does my mates car so they cant be too bad.

Hey Tuff, thanks for your advice but when you build a Cobra you just dont put a Commodore motor in it ! nor a Chev. We have built numerous holdens 6's and 8's, been there done that. But I appreciate you are not a Ford man.

ima400, will have a talk to c&b also, thank you. Before posting originally we were heavily recomended towards Lawler in Sydney, has anyone heard anytjhing positive/negative about them. They will just be boring/honing and decking the block for us once we receive the pistons from JE. They take about 2-3 months we are told. One of the problems we have with some of the builders we have tried is that they dont use a deck plate when boring. A must for our build. So it is little things like that we are having to discuss with each company. Will get there.

Thanks Steve. I have actually heard good things about Speed Works also. It is a shame we are in diff states. Its do-able but easier to deal more locally. Although we are sending the crank etc up to Queensland to be balanced and have bought a lot of the parts from the States its a bit easier to cart the block locally.
