Hi cycov8 We ran the Torana for the first time with the blown combo as well as the tubs and cage.Car went ok but there is a ton of room for improvement we ran the car as we skid it. So times werent to shabby considering we had 3.5 gears and the car would run no better than 1.84 to sixty foot and rev no more than 5300 across the line. So for next time i think a set of gears and maybe a little bit more converter. Just want a couple of 10 second time slips.
I also think a big congrats has to go to Leroys son James who builds and maintains Leroys motor. Well done Jimmy and im sure it wont be the only quick motor you screw together Hurry up with that 253!!!

yeah not bad thanks aj. was very consistent. the mph is there but having a tight convertor 3.5s and tunnelram certainly did work against it. was running 13.14s mostly all day at between 108-111mph, 60 foot times were mostly 2.6sec, crossing the line at just under 6000. mind you i turn it 7800 in a skid so really i need probably 4.5s in the diff and a looser convertor to make it move its ass off the line. but im happy cause it wasn't built to go racing so how it is it will stay. was just a bit of fun something different to do.
OH and its the first time the car has been taken out and i haven't broken a flare!!!

the mph suggests high 11's / low 12's - nice times for a burnout workhorse

aj mate there is definately a lot of room for improvement in the racing department like springs in the bum, diff gears so it gets into its rev range etc the list goes on. but im happy with it.
