ford tx5 turbo
sup, yall. im new 2 da forums and was wondering about turbo for my ford 2.2ltr tx5 ghia hatch, what do i need to modify in my car so i can run some turbo in it, currently its stock but im gonna put a exhaust sytem into it mayb some suspension cause it shakes quite a bit at 140ks/hr . i was on my way back from da coast wit my mate in his stink excel and this dude in a bubble back telstra was running turbo in his car and my mate and him was doing bout 130 to 140 then all of a sudden, i dunno what he did mayb hi boost , and damn he was like 4 cars ahead of us is it easy to get a setup like dat, he was pretty young so mayb it wouldnt cost so much? any thoughts or ideas on how i can set up my tx5 to smoke heaps of people. thnx
hey mate welcome
there are plenty of things to which can be cheap and effective the best way is to talk to your local mechanic and get online. In your previous post to talked bout taking a turbo off your mazda motor. have you considered puting this back on?
And think twice bout street racng with it there is a perfectly good track almost in every state it aint worth the trouble if you get caught nor the bad publicity it receives, you only spoil it for others.

yo man thnx for the info. i would consider putting the old turbo back on but i got the mechanic to chuck it away, so i cant actually do that now, and plus he told me i had to raise compression and some other stuff so i am able to run the turbo anyway. p.s i think he was too lazy to fit the turbo in the first place, cause of the wiring and stuff. he told me that stock turbos are weaker anyway, is dat true -.- im not sure lol
thats weird as i have always heard that a standard turbo can be pretty good depending on what sort of power you want to make and as far as i know you drop your compression for forced industion not raise it
