Default Tassie Powercruise 2008

Tassie experienced their very first Powercruise over the weekend past. Everyone was pumped that an event like this was coming to Tasmania. The weather was perfect for the entire event. There was plenty of film crews on hand taking photos and shoots for magazines.
Gup brought down his famous Elvis HQ, Mentle in his Tuff camaro. Steve Loader in his tuff as HG Holden. We also had Victor and Ben Bray with their burnout cars to put on a display for the Tassie people. Also 50Man showed his skills in his Commodore drift car. What a display he put on with 360 donuts at high speeds.
There was plenty of cruising on the track. The event was held at Symmons Plains the home of one of the V8 Supercar rounds and was a pleasure to drive on. That hairpin is something else. There were powerskids, off street racing, cruising and racing your mates, burnout comp, show and go. Drifting, Miss Powercruise and the hour of power. From the feedback we got from officials and the crowd it was very good. Tassie has it for another 2 years so that’s good. Hoping to get more mainlanders over for the next one.
